Classes & Curriculum

The Junior School at Qubaa Muslim School follows the Competency-Based Education (CBE) curriculum, catering to Grades 7, 8, and 9. It focuses on nurturing learners’ skills, creativity, and critical thinking through hands-on, project-based learning. The program blends strong academic foundations with moral guidance, preparing students for senior school and future career pathways while promoting responsibility, innovation, and Islamic values.

GRADE 7

Grade 7 marks the beginning of Junior School under the CBE curriculum, focusing on helping learners transition from primary to a more specialized level of study. At this stage, students explore a broad range of subjects, engage in practical projects, and build key competencies in communication, problem-solving, and digital literacy — all guided by strong moral and Islamic values.

GRADE 9

Grade 9 marks the final stage of Junior School, where learners consolidate their knowledge and skills gained in earlier grades. It focuses on preparing students for senior secondary education through project-based learning, leadership development, and career guidance. Curriculum Approach

Based on the general principles of competency-based education, here's what you might expect :

Interdisciplinary Approach

C.B.E curricula integrate various subjects to help students see connections between different areas of knowledge.

Competency-Based Learning

The curriculum would emphasize the development of specific competencies or skills in students. This could include skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, creativity, and more.

Real-World Application

C.B.E curricula tend to focus on applying knowledge and skills to real-world scenarios. This can involve project-based learning, case studies, and practical applications of concepts learned in the classroom.
